Usher Ministry
The YFC Ushers Ministry is the frontline ministry of helps in the vital role of caring for the church before, during, and after service of the Word of God. As believers in Jesus Christ, Savior and Lord, the committed men and women of God in the Usher Ministry share in the YFC vision of a glorious church and the mission of sharing the Word of God. The ushers support the pastor and the different ministries of the church in various ways. Mainly, they prepare the sanctuary for the church Sabbath services of praise, worship, teaching, and preaching of the Word of God. Also, they support the other ministries in need of help in undertaking activities. They are among the first to arrive and last to leave ensuring that necessary helps are well provided. They pray and share the Word of God in preparation for their ministry, as in Colossians 3:23 “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD not for men”. The ushers greet, welcome, pray for and attend to the needs of those coming to church, even in their follow-up. They assist in cleaning and preparing the venue. More importantly, they assist the pastor and the congregation for communion and tithe-giving. They help those who give their testimonies and prayer requests.
Scripture acknowledges the ministry of helps as it is said in 1 Cor 12:27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues. Proverbs 8:34 says “Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.” The YFC Ushers Ministry is led by Bro Jhun Cilot. The sister-members include: Sisters Dolly Hernandez, Else Baniega, Wilma Pagunsan, and Cecile Lansangan. Our brother-members are: Brothers Arnold Cilot, Noel Baniega, Edmar and Jomarie __, John Mark Nisbeth, Gabrielle Martinez.
The YFC Usher Ministry gives the church loving care, practical assistance, and forms of support services for the weekly Sabbath day, the celebration of the feasts of the Lord, and conduct of events and activities of the different ministries. They take care of ushering, arranging, securing, and preparing the place for teaching, praise, worship, and fellowship.
